One of the features implemented for fleet management devices is the 1-Wire data protocol, which allows the connection of iButton. The iButton device is ideal for any application where AVL data needs to travel along with face or object recognition.

The iButton is a solution for fleet management trackers in the following cases:

1. Driver Authorization – allows the use of a vehicle only for specific iButton holders and identification of the driver on the road.
2. Immobilizer – without an iButton authorization you cannot turn on the engine starter and use the vehicle.
3. Auto Geofencing – allows us to know when the car leaves customized areas without iButton authorization.
